Shaine Gill-Ohrt started his working life within the catering industry, working for one of the UK’s most reputable independently owned and multi-award-winning fine dining restaurants. Within this role, he developed his skills many different areas, including sales and customer service. Following nearly 8 years in the sector, Shaine decided to move environments which led to him spending 2 years within the PVC Window Manufacturing Industry, where he split his time between residential & commercial estimating, as well as project management for a newly implemented production process. Whilst in the manufacturing sector, Shaine discovered his passion for the process approach and methodical working.
His most recent appointment saw him graduate through the ranks at one of the UK’s largest independent vertically integrated flexible packaging manufacturers, where he spent the last 11 years developing his technical process knowledge, refined his extensive skill set and managed complex compliance elements and enjoyed a broad exposure to PAS 2060, PPN 06/21 and elements of ISO14064.
In January 2023, Shaine joined the Brook Corporate Development team as a Specialist Consultant.
Shaine has developed a broad range of Skills, covering everything from Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 & 14001, FSC, ISCC EU & ISCC Plus to Lean 6 Sigma Green Belt, Level 3 QCF Trainer and more. His recent work includes ensuring business’s readiness for major regulatory changes, such as Plastic Packaging Tax, Compliance with EPR/ PRN, Environmental Permitting and government lobbying on PPT and 2023 EPR. He was worked with clients ranging from small independent manufacturers to NASDAQ listed companies.
